EMC SLIM Working Group


The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 89/336/EEC has the objective of guaranteeing the free movement of electrical equipment whilst creating an acceptable electromagnetic environment in the EEA territory.

This Directive is currently under revision. An "EMC SLIM Working Group", made up of Member States and Industry representatives (manufacturers, utility operators, certification bodies, etc), was created in order to assist the European Commission in the preparation of a proposal for the revision of the EMC Directive.

The latest draft of the revised EMC Directive [EMCD 2000.6] is now available, together with all the previous versions of this document, at:
