Intermediate Level Modelling for EMC : General Methodology for EMC Design

We divide the EMC problem into five aspects:

Each of these can have an EMC performance gain. Each can have a design cost. The aim is to enable the optimisation of  the performance:cost ratio by devising realistic tools to help with each aspect of the design process.Each of the aspects is linked and interacts with the others.

The EMC design process can use CAE/CAD tools to guide the designer, both by specifying and checking "good practice" embodied in design rules (Advisory tools), and by prediction of the electromagnetic performance of the system (Modelling tools).
